Penurunan kualitas praktik doa dalam kehidupan kekristenan kontemporer sering berkaitan dengan melemahnya karakter rohani dan moral orang percaya. Doa dipahami sebagai disiplin spiritual fundamental yang tidak hanya memelihara relasi dengan Allah, tetapi juga membentuk karakter Kristen secara berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran doa sebagai disiplin spiritual dalam pembentukan karakter Kristen dalam perspektif teologi praktis. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kepustakaan melalui analisis tematik terhadap sumber-sumber Alkitab, buku teologi, dan artikel jurnal ilmiah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa doa dipahami sebagai praktik iman yang bersifat formatif dan transformatif, yang membentuk disposisi batin, orientasi moral, keutamaan etis, identitas iman, dan spiritualitas Kristen. Doa tidak diposisikan semata-mata sebagai ritual religius atau ekspresi spiritual personal, melainkan sebagai praksis iman yang mengintegrasikan refleksi teologis dan kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan agar praktik doa ditempatkan secara sadar dan konsisten dalam pembinaan iman, pendidikan teologi, dan kehidupan gereja sebagai fondasi pembentukan karakter Kristen yang reflektif dan kontekstual.
